Service Description

QPR training stands for Question, Persuade, Refer. It is an evidence-based suicide prevention training designed to help individuals recognize the warning signs of suicide and respond effectively. Question – Learn how to ask someone directly and safely if they are thinking about suicide. Persuade – Learn how to listen, offer hope, and encourage the person to seek help. Refer – Learn how to connect the individual to appropriate professional support and resources. QPR training is often provided to educators, school staff, parents, and community members to increase awareness, reduce stigma, and promote early intervention. In school settings, QPR supports a proactive approach to student mental health by equipping adults with the skills to respond to concerns before a crisis occurs.
